prequel to Honey I’m Home
master list
summary: a peek into the lives of our love birds back in 1985
w/c: 4k
tw: no minors, underage drinking, drug use, party behavior. hinted at: rape
Engine roaring hot with the early dog days of summer, Eddie’s van skids to a stop sliding against black asphalt of Piney Wood Lane.
“Eddie! What the fuck?!” A church mouse voice that resembled nails on a chalkboard shrieks when the van halts to a stop. Peach colored lipstick is smeared in a wavy line across her pale skin, Chrissy glares icy blue daggers into the curly haired metal head.
Stoned and nearly asleep, Eddie forced his tired lips into a grin, pearly whites gleaming against the backdrop of the setting sun through the dirty windshield. “Oh babe you’re so pretty, here let me help.” Grabbing the tube of lipstick Eddie draws a matching line across her other cheek, “all better,” he yawns as she snatches the lipstick tube back and shoves the lid back on slamming it into her purse. Using a dirty t-shirt by her feet that she knew was used to wipe Eddie’s cum off her stomach some time last week after one of his shows, she rotates it to a cleanish spot and works the black cloth gently across her face, muttering to herself.
“Where are these little shits anyway?” She grumbles as she avoids Eddie’s lips on her neck, shoving him away with the heel of her hand.
“Fuck Chris, relax,” Eddie says, arms up in a surrender and lowering slightly to light a cigarette and blowing the smoke into the open warm air through his window, “little Tooty said they have to sneak out of the basement window.”
It had been a full year since Eyeball had left town and graduated without Eddie. His best friend was always smarter than he was, never having to repeat senior year, he left Eddie’s trailer park ass in the dust— never to be heard from again.
A scoff breaks from Chrissy’s pastel pink lips as she swipes more powder blue eyeshadow on her lids in the mirror. “I don’t know what my brother sees in her.”
The high encompassing Eddie falters for a split second. Chad Cunningham? What the fuck would Tooty want to do with him?
“Damn, tell me how you really feel,” Eddie says, rolling his eyes and inhaling from his cigarette, “don’t hold back.”
Chrissy flips the visor up with a thud and crosses her arms, her lips twisted in a sneer, she opens her mouth to speak but Eddie shushes her when five moving figures run across the neatly mowed lawn of the Wheeler’s.
Opening the sliding door is a pimple-faced Mike Wheeler, accompanied by Dustin Henderson, Lucas Sinclair, Max Mayfield, and you.
“Whoa whoa whoa,” Eddie says holding his hands up in protest, “watch the carpet yeah? Won’t be a shaggin’ wagon if the carpet is stomped all to hell you little gremlins.”
“Fuck dude,” Dustin speaks, sliding next to Mike on the floor, “you gonna give us upholstery lessons or are we going to this party?”
Mike and Lucas laugh as Eddie takes off before the door is even shut. Screaming into the night like a bat out of hell. Passing out cigarettes from a crumbled pack you kept in the breast pocket of the same ratty flannel you wore almost daily, everyone leans forward to catch the flame at the same time. Inhaling deep and choking back smoke against baby pink lungs.
Eddie wasn’t your favorite person but if he was one thing: it was reliable. He’d show up in his van, rolling up on the last remnants of weed whenever you called him. Day or night, rain or shine wherever you were— he’d drop whatever he was doing to pick you up.
Like the time Mike had left you at Benny’s after falling asleep in the red cracked booth following a late night movie premiere of Cujo. A quick dial to the Munson trailer, with a worried Benny behind you, after a couple of monotonous dial tones an out of breath Eddie answered grumpily reassuring you he’d be there soon.
Ten minutes later the blaring tunes of DIO were heard faintly as his van roared down the street, foregoing stop signs and swerving all over the place.
Benny raised an eyebrow and gave Eddie a pointed finger grunting: get her home safe.
Eddie greeted you with a stupid smile and deep dimples, threatening Mike’s life and his Hellfire spot for leaving you behind.
“Don’t make this a habit,” he scolded lightly, eyes red and higher than a kite, his boots were untied and his hair was sticking out in every direction, “Eyeball will skin me alive.”
You roll your eyes and put your feet on the dash, “Kev doesn’t even know I’m gone.”
Tapping the brakes Eddie laughs deep when you lunge forward, millimeters from almost smacking your head on your knees. “You know my rule, feet down little T.”
The night was young and you were filled with a naivety that coursed through your veins. With Eyeball at college your parents were rarely home, and you spent every waking minute you could with the boys, Max and El. A group of unruly teens, knobby knees and bad haircuts. The summer was barely at its peak, and you couldn’t wait to live it.
“Alright you little brats,” Eddie joked, pulling into Rick’s driveway, “no humping, no grinding, don’t take anything if you aren’t sure of what it is, and you all owe me $5 for the ride here and supplying you little degenerates with the best weed and warm beer in all of Hawkins.” He goads with a warm smile and jumps out of the van, leaving Chrissy to readjust her hair and makeup for the tenth time in the fifteen minute drive to get out to Lover’s Lake.
Filing out of the van one at a time, everyone slaps an Abe Lincoln into Eddie’s upturned palm. When it’s your turn he quickly closes his hand and you give him an annoyed look.
A look of concern colors his brow as he peers into your face, “Are you seriously dating Chrissy’s brother?”
Turning your lip up in defense, you scowl at the accusation, “so what if I was?” You gonna run and tell Kev about it?”
Eddie didn’t want to be on the receiving end of Eyeball’s fury, having seen for himself how Eyeball could fight the biggest of assholes at the Hideout, and he damn sure as hell didn’t want to see you on that end either. “Nah,” he chides, pocketing the bills into his chain wallet and standing with his hands on his hips, chest out, “what the hell do you think I am some shithead narc? I just didn’t think that you’re old enough to date.”
Snarling a grin and pushing his shoulder you answer sarcastically, “Are you my mother? Stop smoking Munson, you’re turning into a softie.” Traipsing past him you quickly run inside to find your friends, feet crunching on the gravel.
What the hell got into him?
—
The party is buzzing and so are you, two drinks in and a hit from Jonathan’s blunt and you’re dancing with Max, El and Will around the living room.
Tears flood Will’s eyes but he won’t say what’s wrong. Lately when he drank, he always seemed to get a little gloomy and dark. Whatever was bothering you he’d never tell, just going on about how it’s not fair. Only for the next day to claim he didn’t remember.
In a blurring spin from El’s outstretched hand, you can make out Steve Harrington. His tongue was wrapped around some blonde girl’s throat. Hands cupping her ass like she might float away. He wore his sunglasses in the house pretending like he really was fit to be “King”.
King Douche of Hairspray Island
Nancy and Jonathan are whispering close together slow dancing to a song no one can hear but them. Her stylish hair and clothes always fit her like she was straight from a Gap catalog.
Eyeing you, she waves and blows you a kiss. One you pocket and blow back. You’ve come to know Nancy quite well this last school year. Being one of your best friend's older sister’s she was cool and grown up.
Showing Max, El and yourself the proper way to wear makeup without looking like a cheap tramp.
“I don’t care if it is popular, blue is not a shade for anyone’s eyes.” Her makeup lessons earned an eye roll from Max, but you and El took special interest in it.
Collapsing onto the couch after Girls Just Wanna Have Fun ended; Will, Max and El all fall into a fit of giggles, you are breathless and your legs feel like freeze pops before they’re frozen. Being drunk and spinning around wasn’t the best of combinations but it was a blast.
A wayward glance towards the makeshift poker table in the small kitchen has Will wiping his eyes, rushing to the bathroom, excusing himself with a rushed “gotta pee.”
Finishing the last swallows of a lone beer sitting atop the barely standing coffee table, Max tosses the empty can behind her and leans forward, turning her head towards your direction, her eyes squinting into a serious glare, “you really gonna date that weasel dick Chad Cunningham?”
El’s face lights with devilish delight and you roll your eyes. Chad Cunningham was in your grade, and more popular than anyone you hung out with. Exceptionally good at sports and school, he was a dreamboat for any girl to set sail with. A future of wealth and riches lying at your feet. And he had been laying on his advances thick.
Plucking a cigarette from the crumbled pack in your shirt pocket, you offer the redhead a drag after taking a long inhale.
“Jesus,” you breathe through a cloud of smoke, “I swear I’m gonna kill Lucas.”
Max only laughs, poking your ribs with a slight jab of her unpainted fingernail, red from a picked stubborn hangnail, “Lucas couldn’t keep a secret if someone paid him too.”
Lucas and Chad played on the same baseball team, and it was he who said he would put in a good word to you for Chad. Apparently they were talking about more than just batting averages at practice.
Stealing the cigarette from your mouth, Max slots it between her own chapped lips, inhaling and blowing the smoke upwards as she falls back into the couch.
Lighting another cigarette, you listen to Max’s scoffing noises as Eddie runs through the living room, shirt off wearing cutoff denim shorts and boots, a screaming Chrissy over his shoulder as he trots towards the dock. Her high pitched whines are faint as there are two splashes into the lake, one after another.
“We’ve talked on the phone once, maybe twice,” you offer the small information as a gift, waiting for your two best friends to pull the pink satin bow and open it revealing the secret surprise. “Just lucky my mom didn’t get to the phone before I did.”
“No shit,” El hums around a can of Pabst, a wicked smile evident on her lips, “so what did he say?!”
The three of you dive into a giggly drunk conversation about boys, laughing at how awkward they were, how dumb they could be, ending the conversation still unsure whether or not you would give in to Chad’s charm. He was cute after all.
He wasn’t like you, while your family wasn’t poor, Chad’s family was extremely wealthy. They were all matching outfits for family pictures and lately your parents were gone more than they were home. Hushed whispers and teary eyes from your mother.
You didn’t know what was going on, maybe they would be getting a divorce? Maybe you’d be like Max and live in the trailer park after whichever parent decided to stay in Hawkins. Between the choice of living with your mom or dad, you’d rather sleep in a dog kennel.
Of all the girls in the school, Chad had chosen you. The sleepless nights on the phone were nothing but sweet talk. Telling you how pretty you were, calling you honey bun, how he couldn’t get you out of his head. Teasing him and telling him he was crazy, his flirting only deepened. Creating a pocket of desire and questions of what if? burrowed deep into your skin. Warming your heart with each peel of his words cozying inside of it.
He even left flowers on your window sill in the middle of the night so you could wake up to the smell of wildflowers drying in the growing sun of the dewy morning.
He was a charmer. And he’d charmed you right to a fit of heated cheeks and butterfly stomach aches.
When you saw Chrissy’s blonde hair in Eddie’s van you almost expected to see him in the back. Stomach sinking when he wasn’t stuffed into the grungy van.
Last night he made you promise to call when you were done hanging out with your friends. A promise you weren’t sure if you would keep or not.
El slinked from the couch and joined Mike and the rest of the boys playing their drunken hands at poker. Losing every cent of allowance and weeks worth of mowing yards in Hawkins to Steve and a piss drunk Tommy.
Max and Lucas were wrestling on the floor now, his deep skin turning a violent shade of purple only seen on plums from Max having him in a headlock, making him swear to stop calling her Pippy due to her choice of hairstyle.
The scent of murky lake water infused with green algae and harsh whiskey fogged your brain, tiny droplets of water slid down your cheeks, making you question how many beers you actually had. Putting your head on the cushion and looking back revealed Eddie, standing behind you in all his stupidity and brainless head banging to Heaven and Hell. One hand clutched around a bottle of Jack Daniels by the neck, his rings clacking loudly around the glass, the other pinched a fat joint. One wet boot on the back of the couch.
“Trailer Park run out of water again?” you spit, making a show of wiping your face with the back of your hand and sitting farther away from the metal head menace. Kev’s friend or not, Eddie was a special kind of jackass. Loud, ruthless, a real mother fucker, but come hell or high water, he was loyal to his friends. But shit, even an old porch dog is.
Eddie made a voice and chuckled deep, taking a large inhale from the joint, the paper crinkling against the orange burnt end. Blowing big O’s around your face, he merely grins, “you’re too kind to me little T,” he gathers his hair and wrings it out over your head, leaping over the back of the couch landing next to you with a sopping squelch sound of wet denim slapping against polyester, “better ease up on that sweetness or someone might think you’re not made of piss and vinegar.”
Kicking him away from you he only laughs harder ow stop you’re hurting me ow, he breaks out through choked laughs at your attempt to throw him off the couch.
When you have him pinned against the arm rest, your dirty white converse pressed into the slab of graffitied alabaster that makes up his back, he gently grabs your ankle and tosses your feet off of him in a swift throw.
Crossing your arms in a stubborn fashion you deliver one more kick into his side before retreating your legs in a pretzel beneath you, taking the joint from his outstretched hand as a peace offering. Hard to deliver kicks when your feet felt like they were stuck in brownie batter thick mud.
After a few hits, droopy eyes, and Eddie’s dripping curls down his back and onto the woven beige fabric of Rick’s couch, Eddie lets out a loud sigh, taking a pull from the whiskey bottle he still was nursing.
“Thought Eyeball was supposed to come home this summer?”
The question is more of a statement from Eddie as you lazily shrug your shoulders and find intense concentration on the frayed edges of your shorts. Fingers rolling the edges until the fabric is warm and sweaty.
“Dunno, precious Kev hasn’t said much since he went out East, nobody has.”
“Ohh c’mon,” Eddies velvet voice hums deep through his high, eyes barely open, “your rents aren’t that bad.”
Blowing hot breath through your lips you mimic a balloon, giggling at the way your lips feel with each wiggly vibration against your them. “Next. I’m not talking about my feelings with you when you’re higher than Willie fuckin’ Nelson.”
“Rocky Mountain High,” Eddie grins, tipping the neck or the Jack Daniel’s bottle to his lips.
Heckling him you correct, “That’s… John Denver …dumbass— ,” a yawn escapes your mouth, brain functioning on low as the high creeps into your brain, an unannounced nap knocking on your eyelids.
The couch dips with Eddie’s weight as he reaches for a blanket and tosses it to you, “Kid, I don’t know how you and Eyeball are related,” he presses, laughing at the way your eyes heavily blink back at him, “you can’t hang.”
The slowest fuck you rolls of your tongue, the living room fading in your vision you can almost taste the insult rolling around your mouth.
His idle smile falls into a frown, eyebrows pulled inward, eyes looking over your head you train your eyes to follow his gaze.
The noise of Chrissy’s bubbly giggle as she emerges from Rick’s bedroom, catches your attention. She’s wearing a pair of his boxers and a worn heather gray shirt, faded kelly green writing reading, Hawkins Athletic Dept 1980. Her eyes are twinkling with each murmur from Rick’s slack mouth, bent low to her ear, neither of them seeing Eddie sitting on the couch.
Stepping into the low hanging lights in the living room, Rick quickly gestures to Chrissy’s nose and she hastily wipes at it with the back of her hand.
You knew very little of Chrissy other than her family lived on the golf course in a lavish house with a perfectly manicured yard. One boy, one girl, perfect cookie cutter JC Penney catalog assholes.
Last year, you, Dustin and Mike threw three dozen perfectly shaped, white eggs at their front door on Halloween. While Will and Lucas rang the doorbell and Max lit the brown papered sack filled to the brim of Forest Hills Trailer Park’s finest dog shit.
There were wanted ads in the Hawkins Post for weeks about any known whereabouts of the “hoodlums” who defaced private property.
And Joyce Byers stood her ground on not knowing anything when Chief Hopper begrudgingly stomped his way from his police cruiser to the lonely woman’s door. Nevermind her receipt from Bradley’s Big Buys that was identical to what was used in the Halloween crimes of 1984.
It truly was a mystery.
Chrissy didn’t talk to you or any of your friends when you all hung out with Eddie and that was perfectly fine with you, she seemed on edge and would scowl anytime Eddie wasn’t paying her attention or waiting on her hand and foot. At the very least she looked to be in desperate need to fucking relax.
Her wide pupils scan the living room and stop on Eddie. The innocence of Bambi struck the blues in her eyes.
The couch shifts as Eddie stands on firm boots and makes his way to Rick and Chrissy. And before you can crane your neck to hear the conversation, Dustin throws himself down beside you, grabbing the blanket in a yank.
“Pretty sure I’ve figured out the physics of the beer bong,” he says as he flips your legs on his lap.
Before long your eyelids have taken the shape of sandbags and you’re fast asleep. Left on the couch after Dustin’s lengthy explanation of the correct number of breaths taken before the beer bong rendered you to a peaceful dream state.
When you wake by being lightly shaken by a sober-looking Eddie, his warm dark eyes swim with anger and look too wet, and his smile doesn’t match his eyes, “let’s go, kid,” he looks around wildly, on edge, “you’re drunker than a skunk— it’s time to go.”
You’re incoherent as you try to stand, a dizzy spell capturing you in a wave and you feel like you're underwater. Looking around you don’t recognize anyone but Eddie. Rick’s is packed with faces you don’t know.
Not wanting to be there for another second, Eddie grabs your wrist, squats low in front of you and throws your arms around his neck. He wraps the smooth crook of his elbows into the back of your knees, wearing you like a drunk backpack.
A piggy back ride that left your face in the curly, tangled tufts of his drying hair, the tang of weed and lake water stinging your nose as you bury your chin into his shoulder.
A cool blanket is on you when you open your eyes and become a little more alert. You’re in the passenger seat of Eddie’s van, a cigarette hangs limply from his lips as he’s muttering something to himself. It’s dark, and no music is playing. An odd thing for him.
A quick glance around and you see that no one else is with you. A street lamp shines through the windows and you can see Eddie’s knuckles are painted with a deepened glossy red substance.
“Eddie?”
He doesn’t hear you immediately so you repeat his name. His head turns sharp towards you and the blazed look of rage emits from his face. If it were a look from anyone else you’d be terrified. He quickly softens his eyes.
“Everyone’s at Steve’s,” he says quickly, “the kids, Nancy, Jonathan.. we’re heading there—that cool?”
Confused but unable to concentrate a single thought on why the fuck Eddie would be taking you to Steve mop head Harrington’s house, you nod in agreeance. Fighting sleep but losing.
“.. okay okay okay! Explain to me again what the hell happened, I was helping Lucas get Max in my car when it went down.”
“Ouch! Jesus Chr—“
“Sorry!”
“.. they were eyeing her man, all of them! — it was— fuck!”
*glass breaks against a wall*
“Who Chrissy?”
“No, Tooty!”
“Oh my God.. Munson. Who were they?!”
“I don’t know man, I’ve— I’ve never seen them before… fuck this I’m going back there— gonna snap their fucking necks!”
“Stop, this needs to get cleaned or it’ll get infected!”
“Henderson, weren't you sitting by her? Where the hell were you?!.”
“I was Steve! fuck— I just had take a piss, I was gone for like 2 minutes and then I heard the yelling…”
“Christ! Did they touch her?!”
“No,” a tearful voice warbles, “Eddie knocked out that big fucker and the rest of them backed off.”
“I fucking swear to God— Harrington, I will slit their throats if I see them again!”
“I know dude I know, me too.”
“She’s asleep. Max and El are staying with her in the guest room upstairs, I think we should all get some sleep it’s fucking 3 in the morning.”
“Nope, all due respect Wheeler— I can’t.”
“Ed—”
“Fuck! I won’t go back there, alright? But I can’t just lay down and go to bed— not after this..”
The weary eyed stubborn watchdog waits til dawn, aching back from the wall he’s propped up against and bruised knuckles sting with tightness. Flipping the steel end of an old pocket knife open and closed.
Steve stayed up with him for a while, a bat with nails protruding from every which way in a death grip in his fist.
Eddie didn’t think he actually was all that bad, underneath all that hairspray he could tell he’s a genuine person— lost on the surface of money, name brand clothes and expensive cologne.
The two of them made a pact that night that the kids would be protected at all costs, two guardians in the halls for them in high school in the fall. The jock dickheads who crashed Rick’s party amongst them, but the threat behind Eddie’s fist evident in the broken jaw of the football captain behemoth. No longer able to to take the Tigers to a state championship or try to have his way with a younger drunk girl at a party.
Both Eddie and Steve decide that in the morning if you didn’t remember what happened— it would die there, a protective secret amongst new friends.
🧡

Bubz's Slasher Fictober Day 12 : (Peach Cobbler) Trick or Treaters
Day 12 is here! I hope you all keep enjoying this year's menu! I'm currently starting to cook up fics for next week so stay tuned!
Notes: Minors DNI, Canon typical anything to do with the character, movie or game.
Support Me: KO-FI
Slashers when Trick or Treaters come knocking...
Corey Cunningham:
~Ever since the incident Corey would rather you open the door, that is if you get any trick or treaters at all.
~When you shacked up with Corey the neighborhood when Halloween would roll around parents would warn their kids to skip your house.
~Which to be honest doesn't really bother him, Corey has had enough of dealing with kids to last a lifetime.
~Every so often toward the end of the night you'll get a few brave souls disregarding their parents rules.
~"More candy for us" Corey would say halfway through the night when no trick or treaters have shown up.
~If you're a person who loves Halloween it might bother you but you also love Corey way too much to let it get in the way.
Billy Lenz:
~When you open the door, step outside and give the candy out.
~Seriously, or Billy will start yelling phallic things down the stairs toward the open door.
~Stuck in his attic he doesn't really pay attention to what day it is. He just knows that one day a year, kids just don't leave you alone.
~He'll take whatever candy is leftover at the end of the night and no, he's not bringing the bowl back downstairs either.
~He'll start introducing himself in his calls with "Trick or Treat", He'll also knock on the floor and say it through the house to the point of it getting on your nerves...which adds fuel to his fire.
~He'll be more relieved when the night is over and he gets you all to himself again.
Mark Hoffman:
~A leave the candy bowl outside with a "Please take one" sign person.
~If you're not like that then get used to being like that, and he's not taking no for an answer.
~However if you two still live in his apartment you won't have to worry about trick or treaters too much, which is just how Hoffman likes it.
~The fun police if you will. Doesn't like Halloween, doesn't like trick or treaters, it's just not for him.
~I can't see him really being one for the leftover candy either. He's a very no nonsense person which can mean no fun either especially when he starts getting wrapped up with Jigsaw.
~To be fair though how he acts on Halloween is basically how he acts every other day of the year.

Brothel - Lincoln watch party
brothel master list
The brothel, aka real housecreeps, is a meta reality show about the Joels and other blorbos who live on the Toxic Compound. Normally everything is smooth sailing, but we mostly air the drama.
Slumber party edit by @iamasaddie 🥹. Next 2 my primitive edits. Guest appearances from Joels by @chloeangelic (father Joel) @gracieispunk (maintenance man) and @dark-scape (gladiator)
Saturday 9/16 - Jojo doesn't even live at the brothel but he picked me up on his motorcycle and took me to Starbucks, determined to help me finish Lincoln so he can move in. He keeps making comments about Lincoln like, "he's so careful." I nod and he adds, "chicks just wanna get dicked down, man." I look at him and he whispers, "sorry." But a minute later he's back at it. "when's the last time she had a nice, hard cock?" When I say, "Never," he asks, "NEVER?"
Friday 9/22 - Stepdad and Vampire stop by the writing room, which is a wreck, to ask if Lincoln is really doing this because if so, they're going to Costco to get stuff for their watch party. Cut to the interior of an SUV, Stepdad is driving and Vampire is in the passenger seat hanging onto the ceiling handle.
Vampire says, "Peaches is on her period, ya know."
Stepdad, "No shit. Why do you know that, man?"
Vampire gets self conscious, "It was in the last fic."
"You always read his fics?"
"Well, I read the warnings, then. . . Hey, what's on our shopping list?"
Stepdad takes a sharp turn and the camera angle goes crazy as a crew member slams into the back window. Stepdad asks the crew, "what kinda hijinks y'all think are goin' down in Costco, anyway?"
Stepdad and vampire realize they don't have a shopping list, so they call the Joel mansion. Thighs puts them on speaker. Slasher wants budweiser. Night Walks yells "TAKIS" in the background. Jojo wants cherry coke. Raider wants bison burgers and Trouble volunteers to grill. Stepdad asks if the "other guys" are coming back so they know how much to get.
Flashback to Stepdad's party in August
The doorbell rings and Night Walks answers it. It's a priest. Night Walks stares at him and says, "we're good, man" and closes the door. The doorbell rings again and Trouble answers it. It's a Joel in a toolbelt, talking to the priest.
Night Walks texts me to ask who are these guys? I say this is a big thing, all the Joels on tumblr are invited, plus all the blorbos on the Toxic Compound. It's @chloeangelic's Father Joel and @gracieispunk's Maintenance Man!Joel. Night Walks asks, "he's not, like, a prude priest is he?" And I respond LOL. Lincoln does a double take when he sees who walked in, and he gives them a what's up nod. I yell from off screen, "MY OFFICE IS BROKEN." Maintenance man sighs and adjusts his toolbelt. Raider tells him I'm joking and points to a chair for Maintenance Man to sit down. Someone else is at the door. It's a practically naked but battle-ready Joel. It's @dark-scape's Gladiator Joel, and he roars at the top of his lungs, "PARTY'S HERE."
The phone rings. It's a menacing, digitized voice. "room for a few more?" The line goes dead and seconds later, the door opens. It's Ghostface and behind him, a popcorn cart is being wheeled in. Production bumbles around trying to find the right place for the cart. The door is still open. Michael Myers walks in with Corey Cunningham. Slasher pops up out of his seat and Michael turns to walk the other direction. Instead, Slasher introduces himself to Corey who also wears a mechanic suit.
Everyone has a great time and cheers when Stepdad gets it in. They all slap him on the back and carry him around the room.
Back at Costco
On the phone, Trouble says no, just brothel Joels for Lincoln's party. The fic is too long, he's too unsettling, and we don't want to scare all of Tumblr away.
Stepdad is determined to make the Costco trip as boring as possible so production doesn't send a crew with them next time. They go around the store and Stepdad has an exaggeratedly straight face. Every time vampire gets excited about something, like the $1.50 hotdogs, Stepdad nudges him to remind him it's boring. Vampire straightens his face and nods.
—--
Watch Party
Later that night, the guys are huddled around watching. Vampire is on the edge of his seat, and even gets down on the floor to be closer. Then he sits back and tries to hide how aroused he is. Some of them cheer upon penetration but not as enthusiastically as with Stepdad. At the end, most of the guys give Lincoln a high five or fist bump, but a few of them clearly don't have their heart in it. Slasher is on Lincoln's side, "Hey what's wrong with you guys? been on his case for months and he finally did it"
"Just be straight with her, man," Raider says.
"I didn't lie to her," Lincoln claims.
Raider squints at him "Whatever, man. Glad your shit's over soon."
Vampire thinks it was the best episode all season. "Link, that was amazing," he tells him in all honesty. "Did ya get to keep the dress?"
"Yeah," Lincoln nods.
"And that was only day 2 or 3, right?"
Lincoln looks at Vamp blankly and asks, "day 3?"
Stepdad tries to come to vamp's rescue by saying "Day 3 of… this party," but Vamp doesn't catch on.
"No, I mean you've prob'ly got a couple more days," he gestures around his lower abdomen. Lincoln's nostrils flare and Vampire meekly adds, "if you're into it."
Lincoln asks, "are you tracking Peaches?"
Vampire looks at Stepdad, realizing his mistake. Everyone gets quiet. Lincoln repeats, "Are you tracking her period?"
The guys look at each other and shake their heads no, like Lincoln is out of line for the accusation. "No one's tracking your reader's period, Lincoln," Trouble scoffs.
They act like Lincoln is crazy for even thinking it.
------
Thank you for reading!

WIP Whenever
tysm @justhere4thevibez for the tag!!
Okay I have way too many WIPs to do snippets from them all but the two main ones I'm working on are:
the time travel AU:
“Eddie?” Whether it was the sound of his name or the weight of his gaze that grabbed her attention, Chrissy glanced up. Taken aback, blinking in surprise, Chrissy looked toward her boyfriend briefly before her eyes met his again. Catching him in the act of openly staring, and Eddie knew he was being a creep. But he couldn’t stop. He couldn’t look away. He couldn’t breathe. She was even wearing her fucking cheer uniform. She’s gonna die soon. But she’s alive right now. And she was looking right at him. “Eddie, man, you good?” A sudden pat to his shoulder snapped the moment clean in half, yanking his attention away from her endlessly sad eyes. Eyes that no one else seemed to notice. Heaving in a great breath, Eddie felt his entire body go numb, looking away from Chrissy Cunningham. Putting her back in his periphery, where she’d lived for so many years before that fateful March day, as he caught Henderson’s concerned expression. Sinclair and Wheeler were also staring at him like he’d lost his marbles, unapologetically staring at the basketball captain’s girlfriend. “I-I––” he started, taking a half-step back. “You good?” Dustin asked again, hesitance coloring his tone in blue worry. “You look like you just saw a ghost.” I did. She’s gonna die. She’s gonna die. She’s gonna die, and it’s all my fucking fault.
AND the cuckolding AU:
“You haven’t even ordered yet.” Hesitating, Chrissy let out a slow, deep breath, eyes still tracing the granules of wood beneath her fingertips. They glanced up, washing over the mass of glass bottles lined up in neat little rows, silently picking apart the labels and trying to assuage which one would be safest. Least caloric. Trying to maintain appearances, or something. Trying to pretend her lie of a relationship hadn’t just imploded, and she needed to remain pleasant and small to keep Jason interested. As her mother told her, all through high school. Even if all she wanted was a Sex on the Beach. “Um. A vodka tonic, please?” The bartender scoffed. He scoffed. “Princess, listen,” he said, leaning so his own elbows were propped on the bar just inches from hers. “You really want a vodka tonic? I’ll make you the best goddamn vodka tonic you’ve ever had in your life. But if you’re gonna keep eye-fucking my peach schnapps like it’s a four course meal, I’m gonna end up charging you for it.” “Oh, my God.” She was laughing so hard her stomach had started to hurt. “It’s a dollar a shot, you dig?” “Listen, Mr. Barkeep––” “Eddie,” he interrupted to introduce himself. “I am not eye-fucking your peach schnapps,” she cried around the humor in her throat. God, it tasted so good. Almost as good as a Sex on the Beach. “I didn’t even think bartenders could talk like that! What happened to customer service?” “Alright, princess––” “Chrissy.” “Maybe the bartenders don’t talk like that at the royal castle in the sky that you obviously floated down from,” he grinned to show her he was still joking, “but this is my bar, and I can say eye-fucking all I want.”
(completely different vibes of stories lmao)

FOUR WHITE WALLS — COREY CUNNINGHAM
REQUEST: Hey you're so talented, if I may can I request a oneshot where Corey sneaks into fem!reader's bedroom when she's grounded. you can take the rest wherever you want but can this be the primary focus 😭 -lots of love @gr4veyardg1rl
WARNING(S): Angst and fluff
WORD COUNT: 1,829
PAIRING: Corey Cunningham x fem!Reader
MASTERLIST
You never doubted yourself when you found solitude staring up at your white ceiling, sprawled back on your bed. Your room was your place of comfort, the only real space where you felt the safest and away from harm. You couldn’t complain...yet when confined within the fours white walls, well it certainly gave off imprisonment rather than a sacred chamber. Living with your parents while trying to begin financially supporting yourself was a process in itself that you wished would go by faster. Moving out took time sadly. The harsh reality of your situation. You loved your parents dearly, but there were times that they could be unbearable.
The rattle of your door knob didn’t distract from staring at your fairy lights over you.
“Y/n.” The sound of your mothers voice made you roll your eyes. Her next attempt was trying to get you to go down and have a civil dinner with her and your dad. You weren’t having it. First she complained how you had a terrible habit of staying up too late. Claiming that you could handle doing such a thing at your age, but when you get to her age. Sleeping late would come to bite you back in the ass. Next she said she had every right to remove your laptop from your possession. Berating and asking what you did on it all night. What grabbed your attention on the device? What importance being up all night on it had to you?
It was simple really. You just wanted to write away until you had a bad case of carpal tunnel. It was your coping mechanism, your escapism from the real world because when the real world had nothing to offer you, fiction offered you a whole new world to hide behind. So when she claimed to worry about your state of being and health. She took the laptop and grounded you.
Grounded in your twenties. You got a laugh out of how ridiculous it sounded. Much more when you couldn’t even meet up with Corey to go to the movie theater.
Your hands on your stomach and your phone next to you as you waited for the familiar picture of Corey’s cheesy smile to light up your screen. The second your ringtone went off, you were snatching your phone and rolling onto your stomach to answer the call.
“Hiiii.” You exaggerated like you always did when you answered a call.
“Hi peaches wanna tell me why you’re not standing right next to me at the theater?” Corey looked around as people passed by him. Some bumping into him, and others not paying him any mind. He bit his lips nervously. One hand pocketed into his blue bomber jacket, while the other held the phone up to his ear.
“I can’t make it-” You began.
“What the hell do you mean you can’t make it?” Corey’s eyes widened. “We’ve been talking about seeing this movie for weeks now!”
“I’m held up in my cell at the moment.” You fiddled with a lose string from your stuffed animal in front of you.
“You got arrested?” You moved the phone from your ear as Corey practically yelled into it.
“No...” You sighed heavily. “It’s much worse, I fear. I got grounded.”
“What- Oh shit!” Corey finally dawned onto your words. “Seriously?” He complained. “They do know you're an adult now, right?”
“Corey I don’t think they seem to grasp the concept.” You dejected. You ran a hand down your face. “Anyway, I can’t go.” You trailed off. You shook your head. You felt incredibly stupid.
“What’d they take this time?” Corey looked down at his shoes.
“M-My laptop. All my shits on there Corey.” Your voice broke. “It’s not fucking fair. It’s like they have this—-this need to constantly try to control my life. Have me by the collar or some shit. I’m so done with them!”
“I’ll be over in a bit okay.”
“What?”
“Yeah. Just give me a few. I have to make a quick stop first, though.”
“Wait no Corey—-bitch I’m grounded!” You tried reasoning, but the call ended before you could attempt to do so. “Hello…Corey?” You pulled the phone back now seeing your lock screen picture of you and him. His lips squished against your cheek while the crinkles in your eyes were visible. Your smile lopsided as you thumbed over his stupid face. You flipped back onto the bed as you waited for him to arrive.
-
You didn’t know how long you had been scrolling through your phone until the melodious thuds against the window glass grabbed your attention. You shot up into a sitting position. Your eyes falling onto Corey sheepishly smiling at you. His backpack on his back and his glasses slightly sliding to the tip of his nose. He pushed them back up when you walked over to unlock it and provide him entry into your bedroom.
“Nothing to fear, your favorite person is here.” He smiled your way. A smirk painting his face.
“Debatable.” You snickered at him. Leaning forward to get closer to his face.
“Indisputable.” He shot back.
“Disputable.” You couldn’t fight back the smile on your face.
“Alright stupid, you gonna let me in or are we gonna settle to see who has a bigger vocabulary?” Corey let out a breathy laugh. You gave in and stood back as he not so smoothly made his way inside. You groaned as you practically dragged him through your window. The swing of his long legs knocking over something on one of your dresses by the window. You winced as the item fell with a loud thud. Cursing at him to keep quiet. He groaned once he stood tall. He set his bag down at the edge of your bed then turned his whole face to you. Before you knew it his arms had wrapped around your shoulders pulling you into his chest. Your voice muffled as he pressed your face into his chest, but he let up to allow you to relax in his grasp. You breathed in his cologne for a bit, letting yourself get familiar with the scent once again before you finally let your hands slide over his waist and rest on his lower back. He smelled like home. He felt like home.
“Turn that frown….upside down.” He sing-songed into the side of your face. He pressed a kiss to your temple before pulling back and dragging you over to your bed. “I come bearing gifts, peaches.”
“Is it my laptop?” You pouted, falling down onto the mattress.
“Well…” You perked up and sat up. You gasp seeing him pull out your silver device.
“No fucking way. Corey, are you serious?” You hit him watching his face contort into pain. “Oh my fucking god!” You exclaimed. Throwing yourself over him and peppering his cheeks with your apple flavored lips. “How did you—“
“Yeah your mom saw me pass her window. She stopped me before I made my way over.” Corey grimaced up at you.
“Unbelievable. She’s trying to butter me up.” You scoffed when you took the device and walked it over to your desk. “But thanks, I owe you.” You had gently gripped his chin and pressed your lips to his cheek again. Your hand lingers before pulling away. “So is that all you brought with you or is that it?” You gestured to his bag.
“How dare you assume otherwise.” He looked offended. Then he pulls out a take out bag from your favorite place to eat. You gawked at the food, hearing your stomach growl, then looked back at Corey.
Corey, Corey, Corey.
“If you’re still single by the time you’re thirty, I’ll fucking marry you, Corey. I’ll have your babies despite not wanting children.” You took the food from him after a kiss to his cheek again. “To hell with your mom too. I will!”
“Yeah…is that a promise?” He couldn’t help a small tinge in his heart. He honestly would love nothing more. You stopped mid phase of opening the box. You looked up at him, to see him waiting for your response patiently. Your heart skipped. He looked more relaxed than usual. His chest was open to you. He had leaned in closer to engage with you more. What was happening right now? Your eyes relaxed. You weren’t stupid, even though you tended to act as though, to save yourself from confrontation. You couldn’t with Corey though. That’s not how this dynamic of yours worked. You told each other everything. You both were extremely comfortable with one another and extremely affectionate. He was your person and you his. You’d want nothing more than a lifetime with him. An eternity if it was possible.
“You know what—-yeah. It’s a fucking promise.” You set the food down and leaned forward offering up your pinky to him. Corey was at loss for words now. He stared down at your pinky, then back up to you. “Well don’t leave me hanging.” You half heartedly laughed.
Your laugh died out when he reached forward to cup your face. His lips were the next surprise as they pressed against yours. You let out a meek noise of surprise before you settled into the kiss and let your lips move against his. You had closed your eyes to dwell in the moment. You breathed in and out heavily through your nose as he squeezed your hips, pulling you onto his jean clad lap. Thighs on each side of him. You pushed him back slightly, in need of oxygen. Corey’s chest rose and fell heavily as he tried to catch his breath. His forehead fell against yours. You felt the movement of his head. Shaking his head no.
“I’m sorry.” He apologized.
“You’re sorry?” You questioned.
“N-Not about the kiss…I just—-I don’t want to wait that long to be with you.” Corey licked his lips before continuing. “I’ve loved you since middle school, and I have loved you since high school, but I don’t think I can make it through college.“ He let out a breathy laugh. You smiled back.
“You’ve loved me for that long?” Your nose scrunched up. Your eyes doe and your head tilting at the thought. Your heart yearned and longed.
“I’ve always loved you.” He corrected you. “Loving you never had a limit.“
“Yeah?” Your voice came out breathy.
“Yeah!” He exclaimed happily. It was such an overwhelming feeling of relief and joy…and love. You leaned in and pecked his lips sweetly.
“I cannot believe my mom saw you.” You laughed. “You suck ass at sneaking around.”
“Yea I know…” Corey closed his eyes in defeat. “Your dad did too by the way. He waved at me.”
“He waved at you?” You looked at him incredulously.
“He waved at me. I was scared.” Corey laughed. He kept on rambling. You and him continued to laugh and enjoy each other's company for the rest of the night.

lana del rey via Instagram: Thank you guys. For fucking everything, Jack and John and Billie for showing up for me -and the band for just killing it and spending months in Sylmar in a 40° warehouse to the point but it was so cold that I caught laryngitis that literally left just a few hours before I hit the stage because Tessa DiPietro spent two hours lifting that cough remotely through her body intuitive skills just minutes before showtime, Wally Crowder for my bad as bikes. Every stunning dancer on stage- and Alex for her beautiful choreography. My stunning three singers who danced and sang their asses off in style and high matching boots. Judah + Chelsea 😇
Emily for stepping up as tour manager when Pete quit for no reason after 15 years because he was butt hurt that I got 10 comped bikes for free from Wally and randomly decided he was more of a stage designer than a tour manager... Never got a phone call probably never will. Still grateful for the 15 years though. No worries - 37 days was more than enough time to put together an entire headlining set all by ourselves.
Not stressful at all. Way to go Emily you fucking killed it with grace. Thank you to my managers Ben and Ed for making me laugh the entire way through everything for my whole freaking life even though none of it ever makes any sense. PS please send me an email If you decide to quit this year- 15 years is a long time for us too ☺️ thank you to Cody!, boss number two for always having my back and doing the most - Ric from Stufish ur set with references of the Barbican to bits of kintsugi dripping down the balconies and the same exact tiles as the tiles in the tunnel under Ocean Boulevard. Pat my loving Stage Manager and James
Lammy Joey and James my perfect trifecta of sound Molly Dixon ❤️those dresses! Dolce and Gabbana for literally wrapping silk around my body for hours until I became a shimmering swimming pool. Etienne and Anna for somehow making my eyes change color on stage with witchy brush strokes of subtle peach make up and light old Hollywood hair, and Tracey Cunningham for changing my hair to the color of the desert like I wanted. And of course, Paul for inviting us. it was fun. I'll see you again real soon.

among the leaves sae green | Explicit | 37.7k
Author: StarsHideYourFires / @starshideurfics Artist: @sweaty-peaches
Hawkins is a village in the woods. Everyone knows to be careful of wolves. To steer clear of fairy rings and elves’ trees, to carry cold iron or an offering of bread on forest paths. But in Hawkins there are tales of darker creatures. The devil is in their woods. He controls great faceless demons, eight feet tall, and hungry for blood. Grasping beasts with horrifying maws that hunt in packs and steal livestock. Monsters to frighten children and explain the rituals that drive community life. Every year, a sacrifice is made to the old gods. A sacrifice for prosperity, but also protection. No one is to leave the village after sundown. Always wear a protective amulet when in the forest. All is well in Hawkins. The rituals keep them safe. Until young Will Byers goes missing. Barbara Holland, next. Kindly tinker Bob Newby is found dead, chest ripped open on the forest edge. Fear grips Hawkins, but perhaps a new sacrifice, one closer to the old ways will appease the devil.

random urge to make a long as heck post about matpat
im gonna say though if your take is simply “i just miss when they did more The Science Of and applying real world logic to games” then. yeah honestly fair take/criticism. but this post isnt really about that. its clearly not as sensationizable but yknow im seeing more of that type pop up from other yters
anyway
tldr of this is i like his goofy cherrypicked headcanons esp for games without actual deep lore, but i do think its bad when he chooses games like hollow knight or deltarune, games with actual deep lore and stuff to theorize on, and takes his wacky spin on things, as it feels disrespectful
unless its very very clear that its a joke theory, like theres no way he thought sans was ness, it was just a fun little headcanon of his
anyway, long version
whenever people call out matpat for being insane with his theories im like
no yeah they are weird.
i think its just… theyre moreso just wacky what if scenarios than actual lore analysis
and as someone who spends time reading and watching actual like, lore theory videos and story analyses? i respect what matpat does because its a unique niche. sure, it may not be fitting to call them theories, but at this point i feel like a Game Theory is distinct from a theory about a game
like, i think matpat is a good case study for how you can cherry pick evidence to support like, any claim, if you try hard enough
i think like. sure, back then he had more videos of actually predicting what s games story was, but even then theyd occasionally get wacky
and the prominence of stuff like “mario is a psychopath! ash is dead!” has only gotten bigger
so as a massive undertale lore nut…
do i hate sans is ness? no. because i dont look at it like i look at actual ut theories. if i want utdr theories i go to like, andrew cunningham or jarujaru.
heck i really really disagree with his take on minecrafts lore but i also respect that he does it, because minecraft was kinda made for thinking up your own stories and explanations
are they often insane? yes. is that whats entertaining? to many, yes
i dont fault him, in short. its a niche market and someone has to do it. someone had to make a video on why peachette means the toads are like, replacing peach and making a new queen bee of sorts. banger.
i think its just when he chooses games that DO have actual serious lore communities and tries to make an actual lore video on them that its bad. thats when it fails. (see hollow knight)
but for mario? ofc i wanna hear his funny thoughts
in terms of fnaf, i think his crazy mind with bonkers ideas just meshed really well with the nonsensical lore of fnaf
in conclusion, i dont watch him much but i dont reaaally agree with hate on him, even if i can understand absolutely malding after hearing him try to make a serious theory about a game you love (so sorry hollow knignt fans)
in terms of him as a person? having watched markipliers powerwash pals video with him, he seems like a nice guy. also definitely past any sort of edgy phase
not that i idolize him tho tbh

hello~ I am returning to tumblr, the place of my youth, after a good few years away. this feels like a homecoming in a weird way because tumblr had such a big impact on myself and my identity growing up, and honestly I haven't had a place I could explore my thoughts in the same way in awhile. but my dash has become quite dead while I was gone so I'm looking for new mutuals/people to follow.
(also, if we've been mutuals and you're still here and you see this, please feel free to say hey!)
so let me (re-)introduce myself—my name is mikayla or mik (she/they is cool), and I am 28 years old and a public librarian + union steward in my daily life. I'm bi and currently living with my sweet partner of three-and-a-half years. we have two cats that I deeply adore, named snickers and lorelei. snickers is a big, beautiful former cat beauty pageant runner-up and lorelei is a tiny gal who was rescued from the streets as a teen mom. caring for them gives me so much purpose in my life and I don't know where I'd be without them! anyways, let me pay the cat tax:
(left: lorelei, right: snickers—in a rare moment of peace and camaraderie!)
I deal with chronic fatigue and other issues from an autoimmune thyroid disorder (Hashimoto's) and was recently diagnosed with anxiety/persistent depression/ADHD, which I mention here not because I think anyone wanted my entire medical history but because I hope to write about my experiences and possibly connect with others living with chronic illness, mental health struggles, and/or neurodiversity, as well.
current interests under the cut! if you're into any of the same things, please feel free to reach out / follow! I'd love to meet some new moots/friends :~)
some of my current interests include: cross-stitch/embroidery, latch hook rug-making, creative reuse art, art journaling, cats, libraries, dollhouse miniatures, zumba fitness, union organizing, socialism/communism, thrifting and antique/vintage collecting, interior design and organization, cryptids, folk art, graphic novels, tattoos (I currently have 19), podcasts & audiobooks, dungeons & dragons, country line dancing (I went to one queer country dance party and am now obsessed lol)
video games: baldur's gate 3 (hyperfixating hard on this one rn), disco elysium, paradise killer, stardew valley, animal crossing: new horizons
tv shows: what we do in the shadows, beastars, sex education, yellowjackets, abbott elementary, stranger things, the boys, i think you should leave, the bear, cutthroat kitchen, good eats, tuca & bertie, bojack horseman, black mirror, toast of london, rupaul's drag race, the good place, schitt's creek
